Immerse yourself in the environment of Australia’s most mesmerizing apex predator, the Saltwater crocodile.

Experience the ultimate face-to-face encounter as you are carefully lowered in to the water with a 5m saltwater crocodile for 15 minutes. Take in his intimidating gaze, feel the sheer power of his 3 tonne bite force, and learn to appreciate his true strength and resilience as a modern-day dinosaur.

The Cage of Death activity offers swimmers the opportunity to get up close and personal with our saltwater crocodiles in a controlled environment that is safe and enriching for both the crocodile and the visitor.

Relax and enjoy the licensed cafe in the centre of this iconic attraction. Make sure you leave time to browse through the souvenir shop and pick up unique NT gifts for your loved ones.

This facility also accommodates the largest display of Australian reptiles in the world, a two storey fresh water aquarium, a turtle sanctuary, Aboriginal Art and local NT Aboriginal Culture displays as well as comprehensive displays of crocodilian from other parts of the world

There's plenty of interactive stuff for the kids who can also get close to the baby Croc action in our Croc Kids bubbles. Allow 1.5-2 hours to make the most of your visit to Crocosaurus Cove - where everything Crocodilian is on display.

Crocosaurus Cove, located in the heart of Darwin city, showcases the world’s largest display of Australian reptiles, including the iconic Saltwater crocodile! Crocosaurus Cove’s unique facility and animal encounters serve to educate visitors on the importance of valuing and preserving Australia’s native wildlife, and encourage a peaceful co-existence between humans and reptiles in the Northern Territory and beyond. All animal handling opportunities are optional and supervised by our trained animal handlers and photographer.

Home to the Cage of Death crocodile dive.

Perfect for the serious adrenalin junkies maximum of 2 persons at a time - The Cage of Death at Crocosaurus Cove. The purpose built acrylic cage is lowered from  an overhead monorail into any of the four separate croc enclosures for your up close and personal dive encounter with Croc Coves massive salt water crocodiles.
