Our youth-style tag-along 4WD adventure is a great way to experience the exceptional natural beauty of K'gari (Fraser Island). Join like-minded travellers and your experienced guide on this self-driven 4WD journey to see the stunning lakes, creeks, and rainforests that make up this World Heritage Listed destination. At night, retreat to your campsite just metres from the beach for drinks and tales by the fire.
Tour Highlights:
Venture across the magical K'gari (Fraser Island) in self-drive 4WDs with a group of fun, adventurous travellers
Drive on the beach highway, 75 Mile Beach
Swim in the crystal-clear waters of Boorangoora (Lake McKenzie)
Wander through majestic rainforests growing on sand
Soak in the refreshing flowing waters of Eli Creek
Visit the most famous of K’gari’s shipwrecks, the SS Maheno
Sleep beneath the stars in a private, exclusive campsite which is managed by the Butchulla (K'gari's First Nations people)
Spot a wide range of animals, many of which are considered to be rare or vulnerable
Compulsory tour safety briefing at 7am at Freedom Hostels Rainbow Beach, 20 Spectrum Street, Rainbow Beach, Queensland 4581
Return: Freedom Rainbow Beach between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm.
Optional Vehicle Damage Liability Reduction Options:
No Cover – 100% liability for any damage caused.
Reduce Excess options: $25 to reduce to $1,000 excess or $50 to reduce to $500 excess.
Fire Wood ($15 per bag) can be purchased at the safety briefing from Freedom Hostel.
BYO alcohol (no hard liquor or goon allowed - pre-mixed cans ok).
