Arrive anytime and check into our central hostel for 4 nights. Have a free day of exploration and relax before your trip begins!
Day 2 - Free Day in Cairns / Overnight Cairns
Enjoy your second day in this incredible city north Queensland city! Feel the vibes of this party locale and hit the town tonight!
Day 3 - 1 Day Great Barrier Reef Cruise/Overnight Cairns
Today, it’s out to the Great Barrier Reef for a day of snorkelling world heritage protected reefs, lounging on private islands and getting up close to some of the world’s most amazing marine life. This is a great trip that visits two different sites on the reef, includes loads of food and snorkelling equipment hire. Ask us about adding a scuba dive to your Great Barrier Reef experience and view this amazing place from a completely different angle.
Day 4 - Free Day in Cairns / Overnight Cairns
Your last day in Cairns is all about relaxation - which is why we are taking you to some of the areas best beaches. You can also join an optional tour to the World Heritage Listed Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation. Explore the amazing jungle, swim in the stunning Mossman Gorge, learn about Indigenous culture from the regions First People and spot crocodiles on a river cruise.
Day 5 - Bus to Townsville , ferry to Magnetic Island /Overnight Magnetic Island
Jump on the bus from Cairns to Townsville. You will get off the bus right by the Ferry Terminal where you will be taken over to the beautiful Magnetic Island for 2 nights. The hostel is located right on the beach and includes a couple of meals as well as free snorkel hire so you can see some coral straight from the beach.
Day 6 - Free Day in Magnetic Island / Overnight Magnetic Island
Free day in paradise! There are several beautiful beaches and awesome walks on the island for you to enjoy. You also have the option to hire a car and really explore the island for the day.
Day 7- Bus to Airlie Beach / Overnight Airlie Beach
Return on the ferry back to the mainland where you will jump on the bus up to Airlie Beach. On arrival, you will check into your accommodation for 1 night. You will also need to check-in for your Whitsundays Sailing trip on this day.
Day 8-10 - 2 Day / 2 Night Whitsundays Cruise
Head out for two days and two nights sailing the beautiful Whitsundays! This tour takes in all the highlights of the Whitsunday Islands, including Whitehaven Beach and several snorkelling spots. The trip is all inclusive so there is nothing extra to pay for food, reef taxes, snorkelling equipment, etc. Once you return from the trip, you will have one more night in the hostel in Airlie Beach.
Day 11 - Free day in Airlie Beach / Overnight Bus to Rainbow Beach
You have a free day to explore Airlie Beach before heading on an overnight bus trip to Rainbow Beach, where you will stay for 3 nights.
Day 12 - Free day in Rainbow Beach / Overnight in Rainbow Beach
You have arrived in Rainbow Beach. While you're here, you can relax on the beach or even add on a Skydive, Kite Surfing or Kayaking. Ask us for information.
Day 13 - Free day in Rainbow Beach / Overnight Rainbow Beach
On this day, you will need to attend a compulsory safety meeting for Fraser Island
Day 14 -16 - 3 day/2 Night Fraser Island 4WD camping tour
Join a three day Fraser Island, self-drive tag along Tour. This is an amazing trip around this World Heritage Listed island with a chance to explore, swim in freshwater lakes and creeks such as Lake McKenzie and Eli Creek, camp in the sand dunes and even have a go driving the 4WD vehicles along the beach (providing you have had your full driving license for at least one year and are 21 years old). Once you have finished the tour, you will check back into the hostel in Rainbow Beach for one more night and a farewell gathering with your fellow explorers.
Day 16 - Bus to Noosa / Overnight Noosa
Check out of the hostel and jump on a bus to Noosa. On arrival, you will check into an awesome hostel for 2 nights.
Day 17 - Everglades Cruise Noosa / Overnight in Noosa
Have a unique Everglades experience in Noosa. Enjoy a morning tea at historic Harry’s Hut to start the day then spend the afternoon canoeing down the ‘’River of Mirrors’’.
Day 18 - Bus to Brisbane / Overnight in Brisbane
Check out of your hostel in Noosa and catch a bus to Brisbane. You will stay for two nights in a backpackers right in the heart of Brisbane!
Day 19 - Free day in Brisbane / Overnight in Brisbane
Enjoy a full free day in Brisbane. Explore South Bank, ride through the Botanic Gardens and have a big night out in Fortitude Valley.
Day 20 - Bus from Brisbane to Surfers Paradise / Overnight in Surfers Paradise
Check out your hostel and catch the bus to Surfers Paradise.
Day 21 - Free Day in Surfers Paradise / Overnight in Surfers Paradise
Free day to explore and relax in Surfers Paradise. Why not visit one of the awesome Theme Parks this area is famous for? (Optional extra)
Day 22 - Bus to Byron Bay / Overnight Byron Bay
Now you take the bus a short trip to Byron Bay and check into your central hostel for 3 nights. You'll have this day free for exploring and relaxing on the beach.
Day 23 - Free Day in Byron Bay / Overnight Byron Bay
It’s your first day in beautiful Byron Bay and we are certain you’re going to enjoy the laid-back vibes this place is so famous for! Surf The Pass, take a walk on the beach or wander around the shops in town.
Day 24 - Nimbin Day Trip / Overnight Byron Bay
Head out on the awesome Grasshoppers Nimbin Tour to check out this fun little town in the hills where the locals embrace the hippie lifestyle and all visitors. The tour includes plenty of time in Nimbin, a BBQ lunch at a secluded nature reserve and a chance to explore the local waterfalls and National Park.
Day 25 - Free Day in Byron Bay / Overnight Bus to Sydney
It’s your last day in Byron Bay! You can’t leave without visiting the Cape Byron Lighthouse to enjoy the magnificent view of Byron Bay and stand at the most easterly point in Australia. In the evening, jump on the overnight bus to Sydney.
Day 26 - Free day in Sydney / Overnight in Sydney
You've arrived in Sydney; one of the best cities Australia has to offer. Check in to your centrally located hostel for 3 nights then head out to explore.
Day 27 - Blue Mountains Trip / Overnight Sydney
Head out to the stunning Blue Mountains National Park. While you are here, check out the amazing waterfalls, venture through the bush and spot heaps of wildlife. You'll also get to visit the infamous Three Sisters on this day trip!
Day 28 - Free Day in Sydney / Overnight in Sydney
Take your time as you explore the city of Sydney; cruise around and visit the locals favorite sites, such as St Paddy's Markets.
Day 29 - Free Day in Sydney / Overnight Bus to Melbourne
You have a free day in Sydney before heading on an overnight bus from Sydney to Melbourne.
Day 30 - Trip ends!

Although this is unguided, we provide you will full information for all pick ups and transfers and is a really easy way to travel.
