Day 1 - Free Day in Cairns / Overnight Cairns
Arrive anytime and check into our central hostel for 2 nights. Have a free day of exploration and relax before your trip begins!
Day 2 - 1 Day Great Barrier Reef Cruise / Overnight Cairns
Today, it’s out to the Great Barrier Reef for a day of snorkeling world heritage protected reefs, lounging on private islands and getting up close to some of the world’s most amazing marine life. This is a great trip that visits two different sites on the reef, includes loads of food and snorkeling equipment hire. Ask us about adding a scuba dive to your Great Barrier Reef experience and view this amazing place from a completely different angle.
Day 3 - Bus to Airlie Beach / Overnight Airlie Beach
Jump on the bus up to Airlie Beach. On arrival, you will check into your accommodation for 1 night. You will also need to check-in for your Whitsundays Sailing trip on this day.
Day 4-6 - 3 Day / 2 Night Whitsundays Cruise
To truly enjoy the beautiful Whitsundays, we recommend taking staying for at least a few days. This three day, two-night sailing adventure aboard Habibi will ensure you see the best sights, get active and take some time to relax in paradise. Visit Whitehaven Beach, the largest of the Whitsunday Islands, hike to Hill Inlet Lookout for an unforgettable view and snorkel the coral reefs in the area. The tour includes onboard accommodation and delicious daily meals. Once you return from the trip, you will have 1 more night in the hostel in Airlie Beach.
Day 7 - Free day in Airlie Beach / Overnight Bus to Rainbow Beach
You have a free day to explore Airlie Beach before heading on an overnight bus trip to Rainbow Beach, where you will stay for 2 nights.
Day 8 - Free day in Rainbow Beach / Overnight in Rainbow Beach
On this day, you will need to attend a compulsory safety meeting for Fraser Island
Day 9 -11 - 3 day/2 Night Fraser Island 4WD camping tour
Join a three-day two-night Fraser Island, self-drive tag along Tour. This is an amazing trip around this World Heritage Listed island with a chance to explore, swim in freshwater lakes and creeks such as Lake McKenzie and Eli Creek, camp in the sand dunes and even have a go driving the 4WD vehicles along the beach (providing you have had your full driving license for at least one year and are 21 years old). Once you have finished the tour, you will check back into the hostel in Rainbow Beach for one more night and a farewell gathering with your fellow explorers.
Day 12 - Bus to Noosa / Overnight Noosa
Check out of the hostel and jump on a bus to Noosa. On arrival, you will check into an awesome hostel for 1 night.
Day 13 - Bus to Byron Bay / Overnight Byron Bay
Now you take the bus a short trip to Byron Bay and check into your central hostel for 2 nights. You'll have this day free for exploring and relaxing on the beach.
Day 14 - Nimbin Day Trip / Overnight Byron Bay
Head out on the awesome Grasshoppers Nimbin Tour to check out this fun little town in the hills where the locals embrace the hippie lifestyle and all visitors. The tour includes plenty of time in Nimbin, a BBQ lunch at a secluded nature reserve and a chance to explore the local waterfalls and National Park.
Day 15 - Free Day in Byron Bay / Overnight Bus to Sydney
It’s your last day in Byron Bay! You can’t leave without visiting the Cape Byron Lighthouse to enjoy the magnificent view of Byron Bay and stand at the most easterly point in Australia. In the evening, jump on the overnight Bus to Sydney.
Day 16 - Free day in Sydney / Overnight in Sydney
You've arrived in Sydney; one of the best cities Australia has to offer. Check in to your centrally located hostel for 2 nights then head out to explore.
Day 17 - Free Day in Sydney / Overnight in Sydney
Take your time as you explore the city of Sydney; cruise around and visit the locals favorite sites, such as St Paddy's Markets.
Day 18 - Free Day in Sydney / Overnight Bus to Melbourne
You have a free day in Sydney before heading on an overnight bus from Sydney to Melbourne.
Day 19 - Trip ends!
