Jet Boat Ride - KJet

With rides running every hour on the hour from the Main Town Pier, just choose your time between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm and ensure you are ready to go 15 minutes prior to departure. Once you arrive at the lake, we get you into the right safety gear and onto the jet boat! We firstly speed across the crystal clear Lake Wakatipu, then zoom under the Kawarau Dam before we emerge onto the deep green waters of the Kawarau River. This is the place for one of the ride's biggest highlights - the full rotational spins! Your experienced driver then takes you over the moving currents of the narrow braided Shotover River, racing up the shallow channels at speeds of up to 95km/h. On this part of the ride, you will travel over water as shallow as 5cm in places.
