If you want to explore Fraser Island on your own terms, but don't have the right machine to do so with, hire a 4x4 for 1 to 5 days! You can bring up to 5 of your friends along for the drive and the car hire includes insurance and permits. See all the sights from Lake McKenzie to Maheno Shipwreck - at your own pace!

Itinerary

The Fraser 4x4 Hire departs and ends in Rainbow Beach at Frasers on Rainbow, 18 Spectrum Street. After going through the safety briefing in the private hire office, drivers head to the barge and over to Fraser Island. The rest is yours to decide!

Your Adventure Includes

  • Vehicle insurance and access permits 
  • Vehicles which are safe & easy to drive and allow all of your gear to be locked inside the vehicle while exploring Fraser Island
  • The vehicles are 80 Series Landcruisers for up to 5 people 
  • Informative safety video to be watched before going on the island at Dingos Hostel
  • Camping permit on Fraser Island

  • Credit card security bond required $1500
  • Must return car with full fuel tank
  • Food purchased at own expense
  • $120 barge fee per vehicle
