Wayoutback is an exciting Top End adventure Safari tour, where you can explore the waterfalls and landscapes of Northern Australia as you travel along rocky tracks in your purpose built 4WD.
Although this tour is perfect for the adventurous traveller, it still has a touch of style and quality, with a beautiful river cruise and a unique Indigenous Australian cultural experience. Explore the beautiful landscapes and waterfalls that have secured Kakadu National Park as a world heritage site, recognised for both it's natural and cultural value.
We will also visit the beautiful Litchfield National Park where you can swim in plunge pools beneath breath taking waterfalls and learn about the Aboriginal Dream time from your knowledgeable guide. The tour will also include a beautiful Mary River wetlands cruise, where you will have the opportunity to observe Crocodiles and other unique Australian wildlife in their natural habitats.
3 DAY ITINERARY
Day 1 - (Lunch, Dinner)
Be ready bright and early, as you will be collected from your accommodation in Darwin at 7am to begin the adventure! First stop is the Litchfield National Park where you can explore the stunning Florence and Wangi waterfalls, rocky sandstone escarpments, beautiful plunge pools and spring fed streams.
You will also have the opportunity to discover the amazing cathedral and magnetic termite mounds, which can reach an incredible 6 meters high! Today for lunch we will be having a picnic surrounded by all the beautiful natural wonders that Litchfield National Park has to offer.
As the afternoon draws to a close, we will travel to the Mary River wetlands for a private 2 hour cruise. The relaxing cruise explores the stunning wetlands that are home to hundreds of salt water crocodiles, buffalo, birds and other rare Australian wildlife.
After the cruise we will move on towards our beautiful private camp-site in the Mary River Region, where the cheeky native wallabies will be waiting to greet us! Enjoy a delicious dinner beneath the stars before going to sleep in one of our comfortable permanent tents of one of the self erected tents available.

Day 2 - (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Today we will be exploring the breathtaking Kakadu National Park. We will be rising early to travel towards the Jim Jim and Twin falls. The journey to Twin Falls is beautiful, and is accessed via 4WD, boat shuttle, a walk through the forest and board walk before arriving on the sandy banks of the falls to relax and admire their beauty.
Get ready for some more thrilling 4 Wheel Drive action, as we get ready to explore the amazing Jim Jim falls. Drive over boulders and through the stunning monsoon rainforest before we arrive at the breath taking waterfall that is surrounded by sparkling plunge pools and 150 meter high cliffs.
Spend the afternoon relaxing amongst the beautiful surroundings before we venture to our picturesque camp site that is located within the Kakadu National Park. Once again, you will have the option of sleeping arrangements, within the permanent tents or self erected ones.

Day 3 - (Breakfast, Lunch)
Today will begin with a short hike to the Nawurlandja lookout to admire it's spectacular views of the beautiful surrounding landscape, Anbangbang Billabong and Nourlangie.
Next, we will be travelling to Ubirr, which is located within the East Alligator Region of the park. Here, you will have the opportunity to discover the wonders of the culturally significant area, which is known for it's ancient indigenous art. Ubirr is an area that is known for it's rock art and stories from the aboriginal dream time, like the site of the rainbow serpent and your experienced guide will interpret some of the art and share some of the Indigenous peoples stories from the dream time.
We will also climb to the top of the stunning Nadab Lookout to experience the panoramic views of Arnhem Land and the breathtaking landscapes that Australia is best known for. After a delicious and relaxing lunch, we will be visiting the Bowali Vistor Centre, which is located on land occupied by the native Mirarr clan. You will have the opportunity to explore the Marrawuddi Gallery, which showcases beautiful Aboriginal art by Indigenous artists living within the area. On our way back to Darwin we will be making a quick stop at the Mamukala Wetlands to check out some of the native bird life.
